This policy explains what information this website collects, what it does not collect, how anything collected is used, and how to contact us about it.
1. Who we are
MultiUnitOperators.com publishes resources for franchise owners and multi-unit operators.
2. Information you give us
There is one form on this site: the press release submission form. If you complete and submit it, we receive:
- your first and last name
- your email address
- your phone number
- your company name
- any note you choose to add
- the two files you upload, being the press release itself and a banner image
You give us this so that we can read your release, decide whether to publish it, and reply to you about it. Submitting a release is free. If you do not submit that form, we receive none of it.
3. Information collected automatically
This site is served by a web host, and that host records standard technical information in its server logs whenever a page is requested. That typically means the IP address the request came from, the time of it, the page asked for, and the browser's user agent string. We do not combine those logs with anything else, and we do not use them to identify individual readers.
Our host is Netlify. They serve the pages and they process submissions from the press release form.
4. What we do not collect
We run no analytics. This site carries no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and no third-party measurement or advertising script of any kind. We do not count your visit, build a profile of you, or follow you between sessions.
We load nothing from third parties. The typefaces, stylesheets, scripts and images here are all served from this site's own domain. Pages request no assets from any other company, so no third party learns your address from the act of reading a page here.
5. Cookies
This site does not use cookies.
Our own code sets none, and writes nothing to your browser's local or session storage. Our host does not set one either: we checked the live site's responses and no page sends a cookie to your browser, including the page that carries the submission form.
There is no cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be asked for before any cookie is set.
6. How we use what you send us
Information from the press release form is used to assess the submission and to correspond with you about it. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell it or share it for anyone else's advertising.
7. Who we share it with
Submissions pass through Netlify, our host, because they operate the form. Beyond that we do not share what you send us, except where the law requires it.
8. Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You do not have to give a reason, and there is no charge. If you have sent us a release and want it and your details removed, tell us and we will delete them.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under your local data protection law, including the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the site is encrypted, and anything you submit travels over that same encrypted connection.
10. Links to other websites
We link out to other websites, including the news sources we cite and the advertisers who appear here. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information. Once you follow a link away from here, the privacy policy of the site you land on applies instead of this one.
11. Changes to this policy
If what this site collects changes, this policy changes first, and the date at the top is updated to say when.
12. How to contact us
For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete what we hold, use our contact page.
